At our Italian language school, we’re more than just a place for learning — we’re a community. With a charitable purpose, we aim to bring families together through enriching cultural experiences. Recently, we’ve organized a series of free events that celebrate Italian heritage and foster connections among diverse cultures. Here’s a look at what you may have missed and what’s coming up:
1. Dante & Pinocchio Workshop (October 13)
In collaboration with the Dante Alighieri Global Foundation, we celebrated the Week of the Italian Language in the World by hosting a special workshop focused on Dante and Pinocchio. Families gathered to enjoy readings, crafts, and activities centred around these iconic figures of Italian culture. The event was a success, with children playing in the gardens, engaging in crafts, and learning about the stories of Dante and Pinocchio. We also provided cake and tea, creating a warm, community-centred atmosphere that lasted late into the evening.
2. Europeans and European Culture in the Liverpool City Region (October 19)
An interactive event for families to learn about European organisations and culture in Liverpool and beyond, this upcoming gathering will feature talks, activities, and stalls from groups like Merseyside Polonia, the Dante Alighieri Society, MammaMia Liverpool, and more. A multilingual workshop for children will be hosted in the morning, offering them a unique opportunity to engage with different languages and cultures. The event promises a lively and educational atmosphere with tea, coffee, and plenty of activities for all ages. To join, you can get your FREE tickets here.
3. Multilingual Christmas Readings at Liverpool Town Hall (December 14)
We are happy to announce the multilingual reading event at Liverpool Town Hall, featuring Lady Mayoress Erica Kemp, who will read Christmas stories in various languages for children. This special event celebrates the holiday season while honouring the rich diversity of languages and cultures within our community. It’s a great opportunity for families to come together, enjoy festive stories, and be part of a truly unique celebration.
We invite all families to join these events. Stay connected with us for more updates and opportunities to be part of our community.
