School of Italian Language and Culture Exchange

Founded in 2019, MammaMia is a registered charity dedicated to promoting the Italian language and fostering cultural exchange among children and families in the community. Our mission is to help bilingual children maintain and strengthen their connection with the Italian language and heritage, while also making Italian accessible to new learners.

MammaMia is part of the network of Enti Gestori/Promotori recognised and supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI). These non-profit organisations work in collaboration with the Italian Government to promote and spread Italian language and culture abroad through educational programmes for children and young people aged 3–18.

We offer both:

  • Curricular Italian language classes for schools interested in introducing Italian as a foreign language;
  • Extracurricular courses for beginners and bilingual children who wish to improve and strengthen their Italian skills.

Our programmes are funded by the MAECI and follow a professional educational curriculum approved and guided by the Italian Ministry, while also adapting to the needs of local schools and communities.

All our teachers are qualified native Italian speakers, passionate about creating engaging, inclusive, and inspiring learning environments where children can grow confidently in both language and cultural identity.

At MammaMia, we believe that language is more than communication — it is a bridge between cultures, generations, and communities.
